D4 A2 - What's in a Name?

If I were to change my name what would it be and why?

Even though I think about changing my name a lot I don't really think I ever would. I know why the name I have is my name and I know the importance of it.
If I were to change my name I think it would be... Cassandra Potter.
Cassandra would be for one of my favourite authors Cassandra Clare, who wrote The Mortal Instruments, and Potter would be from one of my most favourite cluster of books, Harry Potter.
But then again if I did ever change my name to that it probably would have been a last minute decision.

Thanks for completing this activity, What's in a Name?, and for telling us what you would change your name to, if you had the opportunity.
I appreciate that you wouldn't want to change your name - I understand where you come from when you say this. I wouldn't change my name because I love mine - it suits me and I can't imagine being called anything else. My Nan wanted to call me Waitangi because my birthday is so close to Waitangi day.

What would you call yourself for short if your name was Cassandra?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Cheers
    Jordan

Well done. The name Cassandra sounds very lovely, I see why you would want to name yourself after one of your favorite authors too. My favorite author is Sarah J. Maas, and her name does sound pretty great.

I do understand why you would want to keep your name. It's a very beautiful name and each name has it's own unique meaning, no matter how different.

My name is Tara and my Mum thought of naming me Tiffany. I wasn't quite a fan of that name, but my Dad was the one who named me. I think he named me after the place Otara. My sister is named after the designer brand Giorgio Armani.

Good point, though, it would be a last minute choice. I wouldn't change my name either.

    Have a great day,
    Tara

  4. Hey Amelia and Happy New Year!

This is an awesome post, I'm a bit of a Harry Potter fan too (currently wearing a Slytherin t-shirt) and the Mortal Instruments series looks really interesting too, I'll have to check it out.

I hope your holidays are going well and you’re having lots of fun. I see you haven't posted on your blog in a wee while. There’s still plenty of time left to do what you can and get more points for the best chance to get some of the cool prizes that are up for grabs.

I hope you get the chance to check out some of the really fun activities in the SLJ and remember that you can go back or skip ahead to do the tasks in any order you like so you can always start with the most interesting ones first.

Hope to see you in the comments soon.

    Daniel :D
