One day a girl named Elizabeth woke up, she was as beautiful as a violet blooming in the sunshine, dark black hair and skin as white as the clouds. It was one particular morning and that morning was “christmas!” Elizabeth said loudly as she bounced up and down.

“Go back to sleep it's 5,00 in the morning.”

“But the sky's awake so I’m awake so can I open my presents please please please!”

“Okay fine but wake up your sister Alise.”

“Fine, I wish I was an only child.”

Before she walked down she woke up her sister to open her presents. She rushed down the stairs to have breakfast. “Hmm I know I will have pancakes today, Edward want some pancakes!”

No thank you!” when she finished breakfast she ran out the door, straight to the shop to buy a pavlova...

Kiwiana Research On The Tip Top Factory - Amelia and Vera.

We have been learning about kiwiana, kiwiana is about all new Zealand made things like food and toys.

I have learnt that new Zealand and Australia have been fighting over pavlova but NZ made it first.

I have enjoyed researching about the tip top factory and learning who first came up with the idea of the tip top factory.

Did you know that the first tip top ice cream was the Topsy they had mini versions too, the Topsy ice cream was named after on e of Len Malaghan's favourite cow Topsy.

Kiwi Collaboration - By Whanaakitanga.

We have been learning about Kiwiana, everyone got to pick a topic and pick people to work with, we picked flags.

I enjoyed learning about Kiwiana and adding flags most of them were flags that were debating against the first NZ flag, which we still fly today.

I did not enjoy when one of the NZ flags disappeared.

Dare to make a choice - Week 2.

During Week 2 and 3 we have been learning about making choices with DARE.

I learnt that some drugs can give you strokes and if you have too many strokes you could die for example: Cigarettes.

I enjoyed learning about decisions and consequences helping to know what to do and what not to do.

The basketball trip.

  I learnt that it is easier to dribble and pass then try and get a goal by yourself, and that shoot from a distance instead of close to the goal or the ball will just fall down on the ground.

I think that I could have tried to shoot into the hoop better. I could of tried to mark a person from the other team.

I enjoyed it when we got the advantage to shoot the ball into the hoops and score a goal.

I learnt that a drug can be defined as any chemical substance witch alters the way a persons body and mind works.

I enjoyed doing the treasure hunt and going around asking the question, where do they fit in ?.
